Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting the Alewijnse team at our headquarters in Almere for an in-depth training session focused on SuperYacht lighting. This event was part of our ongoing commitment to knowledge sharing and collaboration within the marine industry, and it was an exciting opportunity to connect with such a highly regarded technical team.
Diving Into SuperYacht Lighting Essentials
The training covered a range of important technical topics essential to delivering top-tier lighting solutions for superyachts. One of the highlights was the discussion on the relationship between lumen output and color range. Understanding how different color temperatures impact the overall lighting ambiance is crucial for achieving the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality on luxury yachts.
We also explored how to avoid voltage drops in complex lighting systems, a common challenge in large-scale yacht projects. Ensuring consistent voltage across lighting installations is key to maintaining the integrity and longevity of lighting systems, and this session delved into practical ways to minimize losses.
Another interesting topic was the role of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) chips in relation to bending direction in flexible lighting products. Understanding how the placement and alignment of these chips affect performance and installation flexibility is a key consideration when designing lighting for unique yacht layouts.
A Two-Way Learning Experience
What made the day especially valuable was the interactive nature of the discussions. The Alewijnse team came prepared with insightful questions, and the back-and-forth exchange of ideas created an engaging atmosphere. It wasn’t just a one-way learning session; both teams shared knowledge and experiences, which enriched the training even further.
Looking Ahead
We’re already looking forward to the next round of training and collaboration, with plans to dive even deeper into the world of marine lighting technology.
At Totallux, we believe that constant innovation and education are key to staying at the forefront of the superyacht lighting industry. We are committed to sharing our expertise and learning from others to drive the industry forward.
Thank you again to the Alewijnse team for joining us, and we’re excited about what the future holds for our partnership.
